Joey Walker

Where to start over the last 20yrs? After graduating I joined the Marine Corps in hope it would staitghten me out. Only to find out it made me more of an alcoholic. After the service I pretty much just floated around became a bartender and feel deeper into drugs and booze. I was in Melbourne,Fl and @ rock bottom when God stepped in and intervened.That was about 12 yrs ago and my life has never been better. I followed a passion and worked my way thru the kitchen ranks to become the top banquet chef for the Marriott Resort here in Tennessee. Unfortunatley,the market isnt like NYC and I could no longer pay the bills for a growing family so I started driving truck. I am blessed to be where I am at today. For those of you that remember who I am and the trouble I got into,may have figured, as i did my self, that I'd be locked up or dead by now. I was a scared kid from a dysfunctional family and didnt know where to turn. Although I regret the mistakes I made then, I am all the stronger for digging myself out. As I think about the times when I first arrived in Palmer
from Jr. High on thru to High School the Class of '87 were a pretty good group of kids.I was just a shy outsider with very poor social skills. All in all things turned out well. I just regret I never got to know most of you.

I have a beautiful wife and two awesome kids who are my whole life and one on the way in June 07. For years now I have tried to get my Tennessee country girl to move to Alaska maybe someday she'll give in.8)I keep telling her that when we win the powerball lottery I am moving back. My kids are willing so we'll just have to wait and see.

As far as the reunion I would love to make it but me are expecting our new baby boy so we wont be able to make it. But we are gonna shoot for the 25th.
