Bengt Brakstad
Well... After graduation, spent two years in Calgary Canada, back to AK for a year, to Phoenix, AZ for 8 months, to Santa Maria, CA for a year, back to Bergen Norway (my home town) for 6 months, to Jakarta Indonesia for close to 6 years, to San Diego for 2 years, London UK for 1 year, then back to San Diego in 2000. Have been here since then...
Love to travel and have been fortunate to travel a lot with my work (satellite communications).
Got married in 1994 (in Jakarta), that lasted until 2005... Have two beautiful children, unfortunately they live with their mother in Singapore now... Technology is helping a bit, I see my kids twice a week on their web cam. So we talk, play games, etc. Sure better than just a phone call...
So, I'm pretty much spending time reliving some lost years. I ride my motorcycles ('05 Honda RC51, '06 Triumph Speed Triple) pretty much every weekend! Did my first track day July 2005 and I'm pretty much hooked now! (I still have that need for speed. Taking my MC to the track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend, California Speedway next weekend, Willow Springs Raceway the weekend after that..)
Would love to make it up to Ancorage for the reunion, but I'm afraid the timing is just off a little. I'll be in Sweden with my kids at that time. But I'm sure there will be more opportunities to catch up!
