Today's Featured Biography
Michael Drury
After High School went to John Abbott then on To Concordia.
Only spent 1 year at Concordia before deciding to take a year off. Instead of returning to school I joined the Canadian Navy the following year.
While on course in Halifax, N.S., I met my wife Stephanie. I realized at this point that being in the navy and starting a relationship/family would not work for me. I was allowed to leave the navy before my first contract was over, nice of them :)
Went to work at the superstore that summer and have been with them since that time, 15 years.
On my 30th birthday, REALLY it was on my birthday, I found out I had cancer. Great gift, not sure if I ever thanked my doctor for that information. Turned out okay as you can see since I am writing this now, been clear for 8 years now.
We had Christopher before the cancer and after I realized that my family was more important than my work. I/We decided that I would move to the night crew so that I could be home during the days with Christopher and any futur kids.
Six years on nights and I can now survive on 4 hours of sleep a day while I handle my 3 children and take care of the house.
Still hoping for my wife's big break at work so I can be a 'kept' man.
