I didn't know 20 years had passed since graduation until Garth Newlands dug me up off Facebook...
So what's happened in the past two decades?
Well... after graduation I took the summer of 1987 off so I could drink beer seven days a week and then got hired on as a warehouseman for retailer Marks & Spencer.
Working low-paying retail wasn't my thing so thankfully I got laid off in the spring of 1993 and decided to go to college, taking history and political science courses.
School didn't pay the bills so when my current employer came calling in early 1994, I quit school and went back into the fulltime workforce where I've been since...
I escaped from Surrey in 1997 and moved to Vancouver.
On January 1, 2000 I married my wife Chris - to symbolise our mutual equality in marriage, we decided to join our surnames... so Dave Candy became Dave Stewart-Candy... although most friends just know me as simply Dave S-C or DSC.
Played lacrosse in Vancouver and Prince George for a dozen seasons until I retired in June 2015. My last game even made the 5:00pm news up in PG. Played in a beer league - but felt like a pro.
My travels since graduation have taken me to Norway, England, California, Arizona, Cuba, Mexico, Cayman Island, and Haiti.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
