Gee, what a shock to find this site ... and totally by accident, I must say. How great to see all the names that I so fondly remember when I had to choose my own from the class list. At this point in the journey, I suppose the long-term memory is kicking in ... I know the short-term ain't what it used to be! But that could be from having kids, methinks.
It has certainly been interesting experiencing the past 30 years. I attended BCIT and UVIC, and after several careers, ended up in the States with a thriving real estate practice in new construction. And here I always thought I would be a teacher! Maybe I still will be, though I have been out of the normal 9-to-5 for several years and doubt that I could go back to it.
I have a super hubby, who designs houses (do you see a theme here?) and we have had our own business for eight years. The boys are growing up ... I see that I am far behind everyone else ... got a late start ... just minted our latest teenager last week as a matter of fact. Our oldest is in High School and they are both wonderful students for which I am thankful. I have to say that being a parent has been one of the best parts of my life, and I will be sorry when they go off to school (when I'm about 75, it seems ... you know, the late start and all).
What have I done in all those years? Well, I travelled a lot before getting married. Have seen the bulk of Europe, Canada, the States, lots of spots near the Mediterranean, that kind of stuff. Living here in the South makes it easy to go places - Nashville, Atlanta, Memphis are all only a few hours away, as is the beach ... on the Gulf of Mexico. I hope to travel more once the kids are older and the braces are all paid off.
I lost my parents over 25 years ago, so it has been a much different life than I expected. I miss them to this day, and hope that my kids are benefiting from what I learned in such a short time in the scheme of things. One can only hope.
I still love to write ... worked on several magazines at different times ... and found that I love to draw and paint, though that has been on hold for quite awhile. My husband bought me an easel recently and I am getting the itch again, so hopefully I will rekindle that hobby this year.
I hope that life has been kind to the Class of '77. I know that it has been kind to me. Warmest wishes to all. Lori

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
