Today's Featured Biography

David Wilson

Born in West Virginia in 1963, sharing a birthday with Old Glory and the United States Army. My Mother was a stay at home Mom who raised four boys and half a community of kids. My Father was a country preacher who pastored the small church he and Mom grew up in and got married in. Both my parents are alive and well and still living in WV.
Graduated from Fairmont State College with a BA in Elementary Education. The ROTC program was in its infancy and I was the first recipient of an ROTC scholarship. I was commissioned in the Army’s Medical Service Corps thru WV University where I was a Distinguished Military Graduate in 1986. My Master’s Degree was completed thru Central Michigan University in Public Administration in 2002.
Served my first duty assignment with the 24th Infantry Division (Mechanized), at Fort Stewart, GA, as the Medical Platoon Leader for 1st Battalion 64th Armored Regiment. Future assignments followed with the 3rd Infantry Division in Germany, the Fort Meade MEDDAC, the 520th Theater Army Medical Laboratory, an internship with the Maryland State Senate, the Armed Forces Medical Intelligence Center, the Chemical & Biological Intelligence Support Team in support of the Iraq Survey Group in Baghdad, and the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command. Duties included supply officer, medical company commander, operations officer, intelligence officer, and Command Inspector General. Combat tours include Desert Shield/Desert Storm and OIF.
Shortly after retiring in March of 2010, I accepted a contracting position with Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) supporting the JTAPIC Program as the Mounted Analysis Project Manager. I currently work for BAH as the team lead for one of the two BAH contracts at JTAPIC. Hobbies include hunting, fishing, and running a variety of races including half and full marathons. Married to Sonnie Kim (Wilson), who is a program officer for influenza at the National Institute of Health in Rockville. My daughter and her husband live in Hagerstown, MD with my two Granddaughters. My oldest son is a senior at Indiana University of PA. My youngest son attends 5th grade in Germantown, MD.
