Hi Folks-
I've finally gotten my act together and am doing what I want in life, which is having fun with my family, spending time on the water, and working in a creative job.
In July, I made the switch to the non-profit sector and took a job with Bergstrom-Mahler Museum in Neenah, WI where I am the Marketing, Public Relations, and Development Director--Big title, little salary, and a great view of Lake Winnebago out the window of a paper mansion. My office is next to the gallery with the collection of 16th century German drinking vessels--boy, did they peg me right--CHEERS!
For fun I teach at Fox Vally Technical College in the Technical Communications program from which I graduated in 2006. I teach classes in Adobe CS3 as it pertains to technical writing and an online document creation class. I've even put that International Relations degree from UW to use teaching economics and US government (Johnny G--no worries I am a Libertarian now). If I am really bored,I freelance write/design for pocket change.
Life has settled down for us since the last time we may have connected. My daughter is now a cancer survivor and walking on her own, and I am feeling much better--thanks to time, modern pharmacology, and learning to balance my life.
