A year after graduating, (and sowing some oats), I joined the Marine Reserves (Infantry). During the next few years, I was working at a couple of part time jobs, including Pizza Pit where I met my future wife. In the fall of 1990, My unit got activated for Operation Desert Shield/Storm. I served in theater for just under 6 months before coming home. I then went to MATC and got my 2 year Associates Degree in Police Science. In 1996, I married Melissa. After fiddling around for the year and a half or so after I got out of MATC, I realized I wasn't getting any younger, and the job search went into high gear. At the time it was a very competitive field to get into. Ultimately, I was hired by the Racine County Sheriff's department. The move down was not a happy time for Melissa, Racine is veeeerrrry different than Madison. Ultimately, she got a job in her field with the local hospital system. In 2000, we were blessed with our first baby, Kayley. She is an absolutely beautiful and smart little girl. In 2002, we had our second child, Shelby. She, too, is an absolutely beautiful and smart little girl. Kayley is currently in the first grade and Shelby is in 4 year old kindergarten. Currently, I'm enjoying my family and my job and it's good to see that while I have stayed pretty much the same...some of you appear to be getting older! Just kidding.
