Today's Featured Biography
Carmen Smith King
So much time has passed, it really is amazing. I see that we have lived in the same cities as many of you - probably at the same time. We have been all over the PNW and now (reluctantly) call Arizona home. However, we just got back from a 12 day trip all up the California coast, Oregon, Washington (yes, even Yakima!), and we may be heading "home" in the next few years. It was difficult to leave our family again.
We have four wonderful children - Matthew, Andrew, Nichole, and Lindsey and I enjoy them more and more with the passing of each new day. We homeschooled for 5 1/2 years, but they all went to public school all last year and will be heading back this year (August 6th here, can you belive that?!). They all LOVE school and the three youngest are excelling at everything they try. Matthew is just a teenage boy and not very interested, so he will be repeating 9th grade Literature of all things!
Dwayne and I finally got married in 1990 (after five years of indecision) and it has now been an amazing 22 year since our first date and nearly seventeen years since we were married. He was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes three months after our wedding, which has added a whole other side to our lives. Dwayne worked for Fred Meyer all over the PNW (three of our four children were born in different states!) and has been a District Manager with Circle K here in Arizona for nearly five years.
