Today's Featured Biography
Robert Tamerler Jr
Since leaving THS, I feel that I have been fortunate enough to have had a very interesting life.
I enlisted into the Air Force in Feb 1968 working as a Radio Technician. I graduated from the Community College of the Air Force in 1979 with an AAS in Radio Communications Technology. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 1983 BSEE and was commissioned in Aug 1983. I retired as a Captain in 1995. During the 27+ years I spent in the Air Force I've lived in Taipei, Taiwan (15 months), Danang, RVN (1 year), Aviano, Italy (4 years), Pruem, Germany (3 years), and Mililani, Hawaii (3 years) and all over the US.
I retired (1st time) to Tampa, Florida and worked as consultant to US Special Operations Command at MacDill AFB. I retired (2nd time)in March '09 from BAE Systems. Today I live just outside of Atlantic City, NJ working for Regulus-Group as a senior systems engineer at the FAAs Technical Center.
My wife (2nd - I guess we're entitled to one mistake) is Marjorie - was a manager at Macy's, she is now retired. I have two children - Wendy a manager at McKesson Corp in Minneapolis, MN granddaughter - Mara; and Angela works for Quadrant Software in Boston, MA granddaughter - Belle.
As you can tell, we love to travel. My goal when I retire the next time, will include heavy useage of the 5th wheel RV I recently purchased.
Margie and I have visited Washington on several short trips to see my mom. Tumwater is unrecognizable from our High School days. Mom has since moved to Coeur d'Alene, ID. We have made three RV trips and two by air. RV traveling is way more interesting.
