Today's Featured Biography
Margaret Wurz Howard
This year marks not only the 44th anniversary of our graduation it also marks the 44th anniversary of my marriage to my high school boyfried, Ken Howard.
We have raised 2 fantastic children, Ken (43) and Amy (40). Ken is a local dentist (Chinook Family Dental) and is married to a wonderful young woman, Theresa, who grew up in Zillah and currently teaches at Kennewick's Ridgeview Elementary School. They have 3 sons, Conner (13), Logan (10), and Dylan (8) who have melted our hearts since the day they were born. Amy lives in Buckley, Wa, and is currently a high school administrator; her husband, Todd, is a high school Ag teacher who grew up in Buckley and Enumclaw. Amy and Todd have 2 very active sons named Zachary (11) and Mason (7). We see them almost monthly and love them to death. It's great being a grandparent.
Ken and I have stayed in the Tri-Cities since graduation and currently have a home on 9 acres in Badger Canyon. I have never given up my love for horses, hence the 9 acres. I compete with my horse and love the competition.
I worked at Hanford, mainly in the Accounting field, but retired in 2013 after over 42 years. My husband currently works for the International Machinists Union 951 and hopes to retire in 2016 or 2017.
In 2007, we went on a cruise and tried scuba diving. We kind of got hooked. Since then, we have taken nice vacations to Mexico, Jamaica and Honduras (2 times each), and Costa Rica so that we could enjoy our new sport. Once Ken retires we plan on doing more traveling in the U.S. with our 5th Wheel Coach.
