Life has no meaning without HIM (Christ).
My name is Eladio Herrera I came to this country from Cuba on April 20, 1953. I was 16 years old; and you can imagine all that I have encounter for the past 62 years. I will be 79 years old on 12/21/2015.
But I am only going to write about the past 17 years, because there are the only important ones of my life. After becoming a Christian back 1977, I moved to Tampa on November 30, 1987. I was professional in the Medical field, in March 22, 1997 believing I had everything, beautiful house, good paying job, money in the bank, we’ll all good things of secular life can offer you, but without knowingly everything was coming to a drastic ended. When I was diagnosed with a deadly disease ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis I was giving from two to six months of expect life with a maximum of two years that was back in 1998. Now 2014, I have been possibly diagnosed instead ALS, with Pompe Disease or Mitochondrial myopathy, MDA is working on finding the proper diagnosed at this moment. On 02/04/2015 I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia as a secondary to my primary neuromuscular disease and not the cause of my neuromuscular disease. I am also battling a rear condition of the brain chronic global pachymeningeal enhancement for the past 7 months.
I had the calling of the LORD back in 1977, but I didn’t pay too much attention to it. I was in and out of churches trying to find the proper one…but really not until being diagnosed and thinking that I could die and leave my family alone, I realized that something was missing, and I went back to look for the light and founded in our LORD JESUS CHRIST. I went back to school with the Nazarene Institute in 2002 to become a Pastor/Chaplain. My life stared to change for the better, it was not easy because we were used to live with all the luxury of the world house, cars, and all that was lost, and now we would need to live with a fix income, with what social security would provide.
I graduate in 2005 from the Nazarene Institute. All the glory goes to our LORD JESUS CHRIST. I had a heart attack back in 2004, had Prostate Cancer in 2005. I had Syncope in 2013, and multiples health problems, but now I doing great with all my problems (thanks Jesus!). I have become a Pastor/Chaplin and from 2000 to present, my ministry is in streets, hospital, prisons, and where ever there is any need for the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST. Because all the money, power, and glamor had no meaning in life without HIM; I was lonely and empty then HE came and restored me from the bottom, and make me new, and ask me to serve HIM with the calling from previous years ago.
From 1977 to 1997, I was Baptist then I was restored as a Nazarene from 1998 to 2006 then I became a free/lancer for GOD. I preach the Gospel in every place that is permitted and responding only to GOD. I visit many churches that wanted to hear my testimony of what God has done into my life. I believed that denominations where created by man and that GOD sees everyone as equal, and that one day he will gather all the churches into one for HIS glory. I had a long time dream of finishing a Bachelor’s degree. We’ll God in His mercy provide a way for me to achieved that dream. I stared a degree in Religion with Liberty University online back in 2009, and finally I finished it on May 14, 2012; giving the privilege to obtain my BS in religion diploma. Although, I was no able to attend the ceremonies, I thank the God of heaven because without Him would not have been possible. I continuing my journey on this earth, and begin a Master of Science in Accounting with Grand Canyon University on Aug. 2, 2012. I was not able to continue on my Master of Science in Accounting due to my Syncope in 2013. I am no longer at school, due to my audio/vision, manual dexterity, and back problem. Since 05/01/13 I am a Family Worship Center Media Church Member with Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.
My personal relationship with GOD while the words may not be in the Bible, the idea is everywhere; a relationship with GOD is more, but no less, that any other relationship. The GOD who made the world has no trouble being seen and heard by those who honestly want to know HIM. God is as close as a humbled heart, those who meet GOD now will have eternity to get to know HIM, everything we know of GOD, and everything we need from HIM, is deeply affected by our attitude toward CHRIST. JESUS CHRIST received is holiness from God the Father. JESUS CHRIST cherished is holiness from God His Father. But JESUS CHRIST reckoned as never absent would be holiness complete, a relationship with GOD begins with fear that will drive us to the safety, certainty, and enjoyment of HIS love. You’ll know you have the right fear of GOD when it drives to HIM rather than away from HIM, to develop personal relationship with GOD means to learn to love what HE loves and hate what HE hates, remember this knowing CHRIST died on the cross---that’s history, believing HE died for us---that’s salvation. I have not come to call righteous, but sinners to repentance…JESUS said in Luke 5:32.
I am still the riches man in the world, because I have HIM, hoping that this small testimony may be of some blessing on your everyday living, because the only hope for the world is our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
