Today's Featured Biography
Allison Murdach
After graduation I attended Olympic College for 2 years, then the U. of W. in Seattle, where I graduated with a BA in 1960. I then did 3 years of military service in the Army (2 years overseas), after which I worked for a year and then attended grad school at the U. of Chicago until 1966 when I graduated with an M. A. in Social Work. I married my wife, Jo-Ann, in 1967. Our son, Charles, was born in 1969, and our son, Joseph, in 1973. We settled in Hayward, Ca., where we still live. I retired as a social worker with the Veterans Administration in 2000. My wife retired as an ESL teacher with a local school district at the same time. Since retirement we have been active in various volunteer organizations (Sierra Club, League of Women Voters, Hayward Arts Council, etc.),and have pursued hobbies such as traveling, writing, art work, gardening, and hiking. In addition we have tried to keep in contact with various family members and friends by visiting as much as our finances and energy level allows. We would love to hear from any of you who come down our way.
