Upon graduating from HHS I moved to Switzerland for a year and while in that great country I spent most of my time skiing at a small village in the Alps called St. Luc. It is on the Italian border and you could see the Matterhorn from the exchange family's chalet. In the spring we would hang out on the deck and watch the avalanches on the other side of the valley as they released from the heat of the afternoon sun.
I returned to the U.S. and attended the University of Vermont from 85-90. UVM was more of a social experiment than a Bachelors Degree (although I did graduate) and I was more or less content to survive and get some closure on that part of my life.
After Groovy U.V. I moved to Utah for a year and skied nearly everyday of the 90-91 season at one of the greatest ski areas in the world (Snowbird). The powder there is just what they say..."The Greatest Snow on Earth". I then went to Alaska's Bering Sea for a summer fishing season and spent 100 days out in the middle of that cauldron before finally getting back to civilization. There were 47 dudes and 5 females on a 300 ft. factory trawler and I am proud to say that I went without for the entire summer.
From there it was to FL for a year (Key Largo), then to awesome Jackson, WY for 3 years (92-95) I think that I miss that place the most..if you are into skiing I highly recommend racing the Tram to the Base on Powder Days..take RendezVous Bowl to the Hobacks and get your ass on the poma ASAP so you can catch the next Tram up. From Jackson I moved to Tahoe, CA in Oct. 1995 for a year so I could ski at Squaw Valley for a season.
At the end of the 95-96 season I needed a break from the stressful ski life so I decided to move to Maui for 2 Years (Lahaina) where I got into scuba diving and had some cool experiences diving deep and hanging out with white tipped reef sharks...they are only about 4-6 feet and relatively harmless...their eyes move rapidly back and forth when you approach them and they seem to have a shit-eating grin on their face the whole time. If I were a shark I would probably smile alot too. Had they been Tiger Sharks I would have surfaced and gotten the hell out of the water. Tigers will attack you and there are alot in the Hawaiian Islands.
From Maui I moved back to the Land of Latter Day Saints (Utah) for 4 more Years (98-02) to ski at SnowBird, The Canyons in Park City, and Solitude while working at a Swiss Restaurant for an eccentric old Swiss Restauranteur named Adolph Imboden. If you are ever in Park City have a beer there, you are sure to be entertained. During that 4 year stretch I took a detour up to Glacier National Park, Montana in the summer of 2000 to work and do some hiking, camping, and beer drinking.
Now I'm living in Seattle and I have been in Washington State for about 3 years, 2002-present. I think I have finally found a home here (time will tell). Washington and the Northwest are incredible places and Seattle was just voted the most livable and healthiest city in the entire country so I think I could get used to it. There are mountains on either side of the city (Olympics and Cascades) and the ocean is right down the road.
I plan on buying a house and moving to North Bend, WA in the summer of 2006. It is a small and growing rural community in the foothills of the Cascade mountains and close to alot of recreational opportunities. Really close to work, play, and the city but still well out in the country.
I am currently working as a medical imaging technologist (XRAY/CT/MRI) for Swedish Medical in Seattle. I like my job and I'm learning alot about the medical field and the human body. The Radiologists and ER Doctors on staff are very talented people and very forthcoming with their knowledge. I hope to climb Mt. Rainier (14,410 ft.) and Mt. Adams (12,276 ft.) this summer (2005) as I am into summitting glaciated peaks. The air is great up there. For more leisurely fun we go to the Oregon Coast to get away from "the grind". It is an awesome sandy stretch of land with plenty of beaches and camping sites. Check it out on the Rand McNally Atlas, you won't believe how many campgrounds and parks there are on that coast.
I am very fortunate to still have a full head of hair and to not (as yet) need Viagra. I hear the Viagra experience is alot of fun and it usually leaves the guy fully exhausted and the girl completely pleased. Can anyone confirm this?
I would like to get out to Chicago to see my old buddy Dan and perhaps I can meet up with Chris McCoy in the Caribbean later this year so we can compare Margarita Recipes.
I sincerely hope that everyone had a great time at the 22nd reunion and you enjoyed the Graduation Video! I hope to attend the 25th reunion in 2008. Class of '83 Rocks!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
