Event Announcement!

Fellow Seahawks
After much consideration, it was decided to move the event from the Strickler’s house due to great response, costs and logistical considerations. We would like to thank Steve and Lynda for offering up their house. The reunion committee has decided to move the September 24th event to the Surf Club and Ocean Grill at the Wyndham on 57th Street from 5-7 pm. It is the goal of the committee to have heavy hors d’oeuvres covered by donations. We have received some donations, but could use more. Please send to Susan Wight, 206 72nd Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23451 or by Zelle@757-717-2314. There will be pay as you go at the bar, and it is Happy hour.

Today's Featured Biography
Connie Medas Luthardt
Hi, All! OK, so it's time I updated this bio. It was so great to see so many of you at our 2014 Reunion! I enjoyed talking to each of you and meeting many of your partners and spouses. If I missed anyone, big apologies! And for those of you who were not able to attend, we missed you and hope to see you next time. Special thanks to Coach Bowyer for his presence; to our guests, especially Wanda, Janice, & Missy--and to Cason for just showing up (thanks, Jan!). The rest of this bio remains mostly unchanged: Having achieved my long-term goal of having a house in Greece, I now live with my amazing husband, Klaus, on the beautiful island of Kefalonia, my father's birthplace. For many years, I was in the insurance business, eventually landing a great job as a Marketing Director with the Insurance Institute of America, and traveling all over the U.S. & beyond. Retired at 59, I moved to Greece with Klaus in 2006. We love it here! We try to return to the U.S. once a year to visit our 6 kids (2 mine, 4 Klaus's) and 9 grand-kids. In 2011 I achieved another long-time goal of becoming a Peace Corps volunteer. I served as a Community Economic Development volunteer for 2 years in Senegal, W. Africa. What an experience, especially since I ended up as the oldest PC volunteer in the country! Also, it gave me a chance to put my Master's degree in French from UVA to good use. Thanks, Mr. Roundtree! Klaus is a writer, and we have published 3 of his books (available at Amazon) and are working on publishing more of his work. While life on a Greek island is wonderful, we do miss our family and friends in the U.S. Hope to see all of you at our next reunion--whenever that may be! Meanwhile, stay healthy and be happy--life's too short not to be!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
