Today's Featured Biography
Margie Karas Baldwin
Quick run down of my life since 1973. After graduation my family moved to Pittsburgh, PA. I went to work at Kaufmann's Dept. Store in the restaurant department for 3 years then enlisted in the Air Force. I was in Electronic Warfare for the years of my enlistment. I used my G.I. Bill to get my degree in education. I retired from teaching in May 05 with 25 years(my years of active duty counted toward my retirement).
I met my husband,Ron, at Keesler A.F.B.,MS.
He has a daughter, Tisha, from a previous marriage. We have two sons- Ronnie and Donnie.
Tisha was married briefly to a widower with a daughter,Kayla(12), whom we don't see very often but at least we do get to see her. She also has a son,Brody(4),who we do see at least once a month for the weekend.
Our oldest son,(Ronnie) is engaged to be married(Anna) in Sep 08. She has 2years of schooling left on a pharmacy degee. Our second son,(Donnie) is married(Theresa)and gave us our first grandchild,(Elizabeth,6). We see Izzy very regularly- most weekends- because of her parents work schedules and the fact that they live in town.
We have 11+ acres and are in the process of buying 8 more adjoining ours. I have 6 horses 3 of which are miniture. Also being in the country we have 4 dogs and 8 cats all outside animals. I do have a 55 gallon aquarium in the house.
This will be my 3rd year of retirement and things still have not slowed down. I guess maybe they never will. There is always something coming up.
