Today's Featured Biography
Sally Bolger Gardner
After living most of my life on the East coast, I have moved with my husband, Gary, and two children, Sam and Clara, to Grass Valley, California. My sister, Nancy Bolger King (Class of 1978) lives here with her family and my parents, Lee and Bob Bolger, also made the Gold Rush with us in 2005.
Since 1976, I have had many interesting jobs and travels. I graduated from George Washington University in 1983 (after a couple of years off!) and worked as a tennis coach (GWU 1984 Atlantic Ten Title Conference Champs), a paralegal in a DC lawfirm, an administrator at the U.S. Tennis Association for 4 years in NYC, a law firm administrator for 8 years in Washington, D.C. and then switched gears from the corporate world to the not-for-profit world.
I got married at the age of 40 for the first time, completed a graduate degree in Pastoral Studies from the Washington Theological Union, worked for the Catholic Church for a bit, regained some sanity and returned then to the corporate sector again as an adminstrator.
In 2002, my husband and I adopted two children from Bolivia: Samuel Carlos was 5 years old at that time; and Clara Lucia was 10 months. Clara had a number of immediate ailments to attend to -- pneumonia, tuberculosis, hip dysplasia -- and now she is quite healthy and looking forward to kindergarten. Sam is now receiving some additional care for post traumatic stress syndrome and we are hopeful.
We are all well and loving the Northern California Sierra Mountains and climate. Please come visit!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
