Today's Featured Biography
Ronald Schwitz
I retired from the government in 1994 after 35 years of Federal Service. I got divorced from Lois (Kunz) Schwitz (class of 1960) in 1996. I have been with Faye Shirley since 1997. During 1997 I left Alexandria, VA and moved to Raleigh, NC. I wanted to be close to the North Carolina beaches and Boone, NC
near the mountains of North Carolina. We purchased a new home and just love it. Faye has all kinds of flowers in our country garden. During 2001 we purchased a beach home in Myrtle Beach, SC. We try and get down there every two to three weeks especially in the spring and summer. Faye has really decorated it like a beach cottage. She also is planting flowers around the property.
In 2002 I had a dream come true to own a antique car. I had a 1934 Ford Coupe built with a Chevy engine. It took a year to build and I love it. I joined a car club called "The Ramblin' Rebels". We all have alot of fun together driving our antique cars.
Currently, I do some consulting work for IBM and work about 3 days a week. The rest of the time we have fun at the beach, car club, etc.
I am a member of the North Raleigh Optimist Club which works at several events during the year to help orphans and under privilege children. One of the events we do is cook at the North Carolina Sate Fair in October for 10 days. We have a new cook trailer with full kitchen for the Fair and other events during the year. This is a worthy cause to help these children.
I love my life and go visit my children in Alexandria, Va during the year. Susan is married and Mary Beth is also married. They both have nice husbands and are doing well in their jobs.
Lois (Kunz) Schwitz my ex-wife passed away in 2013 of bone and breast cancer, our children took it very hard, especially Susan, my oldest
and my grandson, Connor who is 10 years old.
My younger daughter, Mary moved to San Diego, CA. on January 1, 2015 for a manager position for Hilton International Hotels in Human Resources, she is married to Nick Lowensky. Susan is still in Veterinary medicine and married to Mike Hmara.
I am now fully retired and having fun traveling and cruising with my 34 Ford Coupe.
I am in with a new car club "The Piedmont Classic Chevy Club". We all go to many car shows and cruises together, still having fun at 75 years old. I also work out 3 days a week at the gym to stay in shape, no health problems so far.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
