I was born in Evanston, WY and moved to Ogden just before 9th grade. Attended Mt. Ogden JH and then on to OHS. Married Bruce Bothwell while a junior and was told to leave school. However, my teachers and the student body presidency fought for me so at least I was able to keep the credits I already had earned
Bruce went into the Army so we spent time in Monterey and Petaluma California before being sent to TaiPei Taiwan. Our second child was born there. We returned home on a Navy ship which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
Bruce finished his BA at Weber State and I got a degree as a Secretary from Stevens Henager College.
In total we had five children but were divorced in 1975. I remarried Hector MacDonald in 1988 so we will be celebrating our Silver Anniversary in January 2013. We have 5 children, 14 grandchildren and are expecting our first great grandchild.
I have retired after working for 20 years for the Southern Pacific Railroad and being an Administrative Asst. To the head of General Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, the CEO of Ogden Regional Secretary and the Administrative Asst. to the Head of the Davis County Health Department.
Served in the Ogden Temple for 2 years and am now a missionary for the LDS Church 12 step program and love every minute of it.
