June 1975 - Married Carolyn Sue Gholson
March 1977 - Enlisted in the United States Navy
Sept 1977 - Son, Corey born in Hawaii
June 1981 - Associate of Science, Mohegan University
March 2001 - Retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer, Aviation Warfare Specialist and Master Training Specialist
24 year Naval Aviation career included: Assignments in Barbers Point Hi, Kingsville Tex, and San Diego Ca, 6 deployments aboard 3 aircraft carriers (Nimitz, Ranger & Carl Vincent) 1 amphibious assault ship (Tarawa) and visits to 32 foreign contries, Type aircraft included P-3 & S-3(anti-submarine warefare), F-14(fighter), CH-46 & CH-53(helicopter transport), AH-1 Cobra(gunship) and V-22 Osprey & AV-8 Harrier(vertical attack). Great career, too many memorable events to mention.
In March 2001, I traded aircraft for buses (a lot less stressful). I was the Maintenance Manager for MTS Bus Operations, Kearny Mesa Division, San Diego, California for 16 years. I retired for the last time in Oct. 2016.
