Today's Featured Biography
James Polanco
Howdy, well I am currently stationed in Iraq (3rd tour) until February of 2011. Not much to look at except the sand and people going home, which is a good thing. Came across this site and figured I would add my info to it. As far as the military goes I enlisted in 1989 and changed jobs around twice, the third time was the charm so to speak and I changed MOS's, or my job field to a Geospatial Engineer back in 2000, basically I have been making satellite imagery maps for the last 10 years. I had a tour from 2003 to 2006 as a Senior Instructor for my MOS field at Fort Belvoir Virgina. I had some opportunities while stationed there to teach at the Pentagon which was pretty cool. I have lived in Germany for 6 years, and spent a year in Korea as well. I have visited countries and states that I have wanted to go to and deployed to places I would never want to be, but the Army has been good to my family and that I cannot deny, it is definately what you put into it that determines if you were made for this, at least that is my perspective. I am currently up for promotion, I am currently a SFC/E-7 but got selected for Master SGT/E-8 this year, number 4 on the selection list, but I am not sure I want to take it. That comes with an extra few years and now that I am at 20 years I am ready to retire. My family and I live in Nolanville Texas which is about a 20 minute drive from Fort Hood Texas. My son is getting ready to start his senior year in high school and I am here....yeah, so I think it is time for me to do something else, more than likely in the contracting field. I earned my Associates and Bachelors through Central Texas University, so I am not really to much on going to school since it took me 16 years to get both, but I finally got them! I don't go down to San Antonio much, but when I do it is definately a Bill Millers lunch or dinner before me and the family head back. If you want to see some pictures of me and my family drop me a line, I am on FACEBOOK and MY SPACE as well. Take care and don't be shy about talking or sending e-mails, as you can tell by this BIO I am a talker so you have been warned, but I am also still the same guy who worked at Handy Andy grocery store 20 years ago...wow, has the neighborhood changed since then, take care...

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
