I've been married to my husband, Henry, for 44 years and we're the parents of twin (fraternal) sons, Brian and Joseph, 38 years old. When I married Henry I became a military wife. He went on active duty with the Army right after our marriage in April 1969. We spent three years with the Army and returned to Houston when Henry left the service.
We spent almost 40 years living in the Missouri City/Sugar Land area. Henry retired in May 2009 and we moved to Burnet in April 2010.
We are the grandparents of a beautiful granddaughter, Samantha, who is the daughter of our son, Brian, recently retired (2015) from the Army, and currently working in Europe.
Our son, Joseph, lives with us. While studying in Japan for a year in 1998, he sustained a severe traumatic head injury. He's our MIRACLE!! His doctor in Japan expected him to die of his injuries, but God had other plans! After sitting with him in the Fukui University Hospital for over 2 months, we returned home to Houston so he could rehabilitate at TIRR Hospital for several weeks and then for 6 additional months in their Challenge Program. Joseph was able to return to school at University of Houston to graduate Cum Laude with a degree in English. It took four years for him to finish that last 20 hours . . one course at a time! We celebrate his second birth date (4 June) every year and thank God for giving him back to us.
We attend church at Hill Country Fellowship in Burnet.
