Sheila White Harrison

President and co-owner, The BUSINESS GUIDE: HOUSTON, a comprehensive print and online business-to-business resource providing access to over 32,000 of Houston’s top executives, and Host of The CEO SHOW, a weekly TV show live on Phonoscope cable and live via streaming video on the Internet at www.phonoscpe.com. She interviews CEO’s and business founders with the goal of helping other entrepreneurs learn from already successful business owners how to start and successfully run their ventures.

She has over 30 years experience in business development, management, finance and helping businesses succeed.

Experience – Past to Present

Toro Petroleum Corp.- Controller/Treasurer - Guided the company's financial activities through rapid five-year growth from $50 million to $150 million in annual sales.

Achieved the professional designation of Certified Public Accountant

Occidental Chemical – Special Projects Manager - Conducted a management evaluation, information flow study, and systems audit of a large chemical subsidiary in New York City. Responsible for making recommendations for improvements, she helped the company improve systems to conduct mega ton purchases and sales worldwide, involving millions of dollars in letters of credit with international banks.

Houston Oil and Minerals Moving on to new challenges, Harrison joined the financial team of Houston Oil and Minerals - managed four major accounting operations until an eminent merger with Tenneco.

TSR, Inc.,- A national computer timesharing firm – Sheila was the number one sales person in the company for the three years she worked there, she was recognized for selling 315% of quota during the last year.

Southwest Data Products, wholesaled AT&T and other computers throughout the US.

Horizons Unlimited Group - establishing a wholesale/retail distribution company that provided a vast array of products. In 1999, with the business growing exponentially, she launched the business online as an e-commerce site, increasing its volume of sales far beyond her initial predictions.

Advantage Business Brokers – Current – Values, lists and sells medium-sized businesses to entrepreneurs, guiding them through the process of ownership and growth.

Her goal: To take The Business Guide to over 60 targeted cities in the USA and worldwide via city publications and a web portal.

THE CEO SHOW - Currently Harrison is hosting The CEO SHOW, a weekly TV show broadcast live on Phonoscope cable and live via streaming video on the Internet at www.phonoscpe.com. She interviews CEO’s and business founders with the goal of helping other entrepreneurs learn from already successful business owners how to start and successfully run their ventures.

Harrison holds a degree in business from The University of Houston and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of Beta Alpha Phi – National Honors Accounting Society, and has completed graduate studies toward a Master’s degree.
