I went to Texas State Technical College after graduation and got my Associates in Computer Technology in 1985. I was married in 1984. After graduation from TSTC, I got a job working on a ship doing oil exploration in the Gulf. About that time the oil crisis hit (remember?) and 6 months later I was laid off. My 1st daughter was born in 1986, and in 1987 with no job prospects and unemployment running out I joined the Army. Served in Germany and got out in 1990 and moved to the Chicago suburbs. Along the way I was blessed with three more children. Worked in electronics jobs of various kinds ever since. Went to school to get my Airframe and Powerplant License to work on aircraft. Stayed in electronics anyway after getting licensed. Divorced in 2000, married again in 2001, widowed in 2014, and married again in 2015 to a wonderful woman with a 9-year old adopted boy. Happier now than I've been in a long time!
