Gary Wade
Gary Wade Obituary
Gary Stoughton Wade, age 80, of Dickinson, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday December 13th, 2023, in Linden, Texas. He was born July 18, 1943 in Galveston, Texas, to Kermit and Nellie Stoughton Wade. Gary enjoyed dancing and romancing. He was known for his barbecue and love for football.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Gary is survived by his favorite and only brother, Dennis Wade of Chapala-Jalisco, Mexico; two sons, Gary Wade Jr. of Katy, Texas, and Kermit "Skip" Wade of East Brunswick, New Jersey; two daughters, Toni Wyborny of Frisco, Texas, and Daron Ammons of Atlanta, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Christopher Cornelison, Ava and Evan Wade, Luke and Owen Wade, Kailee and Robert Ammons.
Gary started his career in industrial sales in Houston after attending University of Houston, then moved to New Orleans and made many new friends and memories. He then moved to Kilgore to help his father with Wade Wood Farms where he found his passion for barbecue. Many people in town knew him as the BBQ man. Later in his life he had the opportunity to help coach football for Kilgore Jr. College, as a special teams coach and recruiter. He enjoyed mentoring many students and helped them reach their potential and many friendships were made. He loved his football boys, and they became like family.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
