Today's Featured Biography
Justin Phillips
After graduation I headed down to Millsaps in Jackson, MS, but had enough of that after a semester and transferred to Union University. I found my voice there, had a bout with cancer, wrote for the student paper, and generally, just enjoyed life. I graduated in 2000 and headed to Duke Divinity school, fulfilling a life long dream to see a few games in Cameron Indoor, including a national championship. (The seminary part was nice, too).
After that, I continued a lifelong exploration of the ministry, and actually spent a year at First United Methodist in UC. It was, admittedly, a bit strange being a minister to former teachers but certainly a blessing. I was fortunate enough to reconnect with Ben, Todd B, David, Becky, and a few others who passed through on holidays. I left UC to work on a Ph.D in Religion at SMU in Dallas, but left after a semester, hoping for a better fit elsewhere.
(Update)
Found that better fit for grad school at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. Moved there one month ago, and I'm already in class. Spending lots of time in the library...for the next 4 years!
