In 1971 I married my high school sweetheart, Bob Etheridge. We moved to Memphis in 1974 for Bob to attend dental school. After graduation, he and Steve Emery went into practice on Two Mile Parkway in Goodlettsville. After a couple of years we relocated to Centerville, TN, and lived and practiced there until 1982. At that time Bob joined the U.S. Navy. What a great adventure this has been! We have lived in Mississippi, Scotland, Florida, South Carolina, Virginia and Chicago before moving in 2002 to Camp Lejeune, NC, to be stationed with the US Marines. I have been in the government workforce for 24+ years. Our plans are to retire 2012 and to relocate to Chattanooga. Our oldest son, Ben, his wife and our grandchildren (Ian, 4 yrs and Sydney 2 years) live there where Ben works for TVA. Aaron, our youngest, and his wife live in Vancouver, BC. Bob and I love to hike and snow ski. Living in Scotland provided us with the opportunity to get to the continent to ski in some of the most beautiful places in Europe.
I am shocked and saddened by the death of so many classmates. It is hard for me to realize that we are 57+ years old. In my mind, I'm still 30. I look forward to renewing old relationships and even forging new ones with those of you I did not know well in high school.
