Today's Featured Biography
Mary Croft Sautter
After graduating from the University of Tennessee, I taught 6th grade at Claxton Elementary School for one year. At the end of that school year, I became engaged to Jim Sautter, whom I met at UT, and moved to Sylvania, Ohio, a community close to Toledo in northwest Ohio. I live about 5 minutes from the Michigan border & 45 minutes from Ann Arbor, Michigan.
I continued to teach elementary school for 5 more years and then retired to start our family. My daughter, Lindsay, & her husband live near us, & they have blessed us with 2 grandchildren, Isabella (2 1/2 years) and Dominic (8 months). Her husband, Scott, teaches History at a local high school & also coaches baseball. Before Lindsay became a stay-at-home mom, she taught Spanish. Our youngest child, David, is working on his MBA at De Paul University in Chicago. Our oldest child, Nathan, is an ENT doctor in Portland, Oregon. Neither is married.
After my children were grown, I became actively involved in our church. Recently I retired from the position of Director of Women’s Ministries, and I am now leading several bible studies, something that I am very passionate about.
My husband & I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary in December 2010. One of the things we enjoy doing together is travel, and we have done a lot of that since the children left home. Now that our family is growing with the addition of grandchildren, travel doesn’t appeal to us as much. As those of you with grandchildren know, they capture your hearts, & you seldom want to wander too far from home.
It’s been so good to reconnect with several of you since this website was started. Thanks to Dave for his hard work & to those of you who wouldn’t stop pestering me until I promised to get signed on and write this update.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
