During the early years after graduation, I spent them having and raising my 3 children with my first husband, Kirk, who passed away this past April with cancer. I primarily worked in the Insurance field, but when my 3 children attended middle and high school in the Irmo school system, I worked as a Registrar at Irmo High School, and really enjoyed working with the students. Unfortunately, my first husband and I divorced in 1985, so I went back to work in the Insurance field because the salary was better. I was divorced for 2 years when I met my current husband in 1987, and we married in 1989, and just celebrated our 25th anniversary this past Nov. When he retired from BellSouth (now AT&T), we moved to Sun City near Hilton Head, SC until Nov of 2012. Then, we moved here to The Villages, FL to be near his family because we had always lived close to my family in previous years. We also wanted to be in an area where we could enjoy golf, pickle ball, tennis, dancing, and playing cards, all of which we love to do. We are members of Fairway Church, and I volunteer one morning a week to help the needy in our area. We love spending time with family and friends, too. We feel fortunate to have them, to have each other, and to be healthy enough to live the lifestyle that we enjoy.
