Born and raised in Columbia, SC. Lived on S. Bonham Rd., until I was 16 and we moved out to Lower Richland.. So I spent my 11th and 12th grade at L.R.
After school, I stayed home with my kids for 12 years, volunteering at the schools, going to my kids ballgames, Paige's horseback riding. Then I went to work as Principal's secretary at Hopkins Jr. High for 7 years. I loved it, but the school's had not advanced to "computers" and I really wanted a job that had computers, so I left to work for the Army National Guard as secretary to the Staff Judge Advocate. I was very bored there. Great people, but the area I worked in was not very challenging. Then, I went to work at Union Camp in Eastover. It came to me a the right time. This was the Lord's plan that I go to UC. The money was much better, and I needed it. My son, Chad had just had an accident that left him paralyzed, 3 months later I was divorced after 24 years. Life was making a lot of changes for me and for Chad. And the biggest plan God had for me was introducing Jim Katz into my life after I had been divorced for 5 years. There's not enough room here to tell you all about my Harley Man. You just need to know I love him and it's mutual. International Paper bought UC out and decided IP needed downsizing. Guess who was included in that downsizing. Yep! Me! But that turned out to be a blessing. The Lord sent me to a neighborhood church that needed a secretary, only 6 minutes from the house. I am still working there (10 years this year). No pressure, no meeting to run off to. I love the pastor and the congregation. I'll stay here til I die.
Jim and I liked to ride his Harley until he dropped me (we weren't moving), but I told him it was time for 3 wheels and a reverse. He still has his Harley, but we have a trike now, too, and that's the only bike I ride. No more 2 wheels for me!!
That's about it, folks. Not much excitement, but I'm happy. Can't wait to see you all at our 50th reunion in April!!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
