Just Staying In Touch!
Hi, everyone. I've been enjoying seeing pictures of some of you at the monthly luncheons being held (thanks, Ed Young, and others) in Columbia. In case some of you don't know about this, the luncheons are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 11:30 am, at Ocean View Seafood Restaurant, 1904 Broad River Rd, Columbia, SC 29210. They are usually attended by about 20 people, and include other classes, as well. Try to make plans to go to some of these (or all) and bring a friend, spouse, and if possible, another classmate! You'll have loads of fun! Casual, of course.
Your Reunion Committee has been tossing around the idea of having a mini-reunion, but decided to wait until 2021 and have our 55th. That's only 3 years away! In the meantime, let's show up and eat together at one of the monthly luncheons!
Join us and add any news you would like on our Class of 1966 Facebook page (link attached.) Take care, and see you soon!
The only way to say this is: I am living my dream life. Married to the most wonderful husband in the world, have a sweet and beautiful daughter. Delbert and I married in 1979. Our home is at Lake Murray on a quiet cove off of Bear Creek. I work part-time with my husband in my home office. I am the Accounts Payable plus have other administrative duties.
Our daughter, Lisa, works with her dad and loves it. She is not married and says she is too busy with her career.
Our business is Wessinger's Appliance Sales & Service in Chapin. If/when we retire, Lisa will probably take over the business.
It's just fine being a senior citizen.
We now have a few perks and I don't mind telling my age or showing the Medicare or AARP cards, etc.
Looking forward to our Class of '66 Big 50 Reunion in 2016.
