60 Year Reunion Announcement!

Dear Classmates:
Time moves relentlessly onward. We are now in the 60th year since graduation from North Allegheny High School. Where has the time gone? Hopefully, it has been filled with wonderful and unforgettable joy.
I am writing to announce that we will have a 60th reunion on September 21st and 22nd. The reunion will be held at:
The Doubletree by Hilton Pittsburgh Cranberry 910 Sheraton Drive Mars, PA 16046
This is the same location which we have used for the 50th and 55th reunion. It is now owned by Hilton and has gone through a major renovation. The lobby is very beautiful, and stylishly furnished.
I am still working on menu etcetera, so I do not have a final price, but I expect about $80.00 per person.
I have two requests to make to you:
1.    Please send me a note indicating the likelihood of your attending, and please add the number attending. In common pc vernacular, will you be bringing a significant other.
2.    Please forward this announcement to other classmates for whom you have current e-mail addresses. My Class of 58 e-mail addresses are 5 years old, and I am certain that some of the classmates have either moved or changed e-mail providers. Your help in notifying others will be a great help to me, and I thank you for your efforts.
Please note the information on the letterhead. I will appreciate your using the e-mail address

[email protected]

to reply to this letter. At the bottom of the header is our Class of 58 web page address. If you haven’t checked the Website, please do so now. I have attempted to keep it current regarding losses to our group. Please also drop me a note with the information if you know of additional losses of our classmates.

I am looking forward to receiving your replies. The attendee count is important to finish negotiations with the hotel.
I’m will enjoy seeing all of you at the reunion.
God Bless,

Bill (CY) Young

Today's Featured Biography

Connie Stevens Wilson

I was 15 and at Youth Fellowship when Bill Vestal introduced me to a special guy, Glenn Wilson, Jr. We will be married 50 years in December. Our life together has been an amazing journey. We have moved 19 times, lived in 8 states, traveled to 8 countries and 2 territories. Life has never been dull.

As we moved around, we bought homes, fixed them up, Glenn went to night school and became president of several Young Republican clubs. I wrote club newsletters and we worked in campaigns together.

Glenn left a career in sales for professional politics. He became Executive Director of the National Federation of Young Republicans in Washington, D.C. I was president of the local Republican Woman’s Club and active in the party. We moved to Nebraska when he became Executive Director of the Nebraska Republican Party. I served on the Nebraska Board of the American Cancer Society, wrote a voter analysis manual and was active in the GOP.

Glenn started Mid-Continent Enterprises, built and developed a shopping center, offices apartments, town homes, condos, houses and restaurants, I did design work for our company and some drafting for the old Swift plant. We participated in the Rotary Club Foreign Exchange Program for students and business people. Glenn became part of the initial Reagan Revolution. We attended the original strategy meeting at the Wigwam Resort in Arizona and the rest is history.

President Reagan appointed Glenn as President of Ginnie Mae (Government National Mortgage Association,) It was off to D.C. again. Glenn led Ginnie Mae through major changes and I worked at GSA as special assistant to the Commissioner of Public Building Services.

Glenn became President and CEO of FirsTier Mortgage in Omaha and I was a stay at home mom again. Next we were off to Minneapolis when he became President, CEO & Chairman of the Board of Knutson Mortgage and its subsidiaries. Genealogy became my new hobby. When Glenn announced his retirement, Governor Tim Pawlenty appointed him Minnesota State Commerce Commissioner and he is still serving.

Our favorite pastime is spending time with our kids and grandkids. Most of them are in Nebraska and we visit them regularly. Our daughter Sherry and her husband just moved from Nebraska to Ohio. We also have a granddaughter in Connecticut and one near us in Minneapolis. Life has been good. We are thankful for the wonder of Gods blessings and his strength and comfort in times of need.

Notice: We have retired in Nebraska and will write more when life settles down. Have a great reunion. Wish we could make it but too many projects and visitors now.
