John Beehler

John M. Beehler, Ph.D., CPA

Dr. John M. Beehler is a retired Accounting Professor, Academic Administrator, and CPA with 35 years of service at various universities. His academic career includes serving in a wide range of leadership positions in higher education. Beehler served as President of Jacksonville State University, Dean of the School of Business at Robert Morris University, Founding Provost and Vice President for Academic Excellence and Student Success at the University of North Texas at Dallas, Founding Vice President for Research, Economic Development and Public Engagement at the University of North Texas at Dallas, Associate Provost for Economic Initiatives and the Dean of the Haile/US Bank College of Business at Northern Kentucky University where he held the Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Dean Leadership Chair in Business, Dean of the Barton School of Business at Wichita State University as well as Chair/President of the Faculty Senate, Department Chair, and Associate Dean at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Dr. Beehler earned his B.S. from Penn State University with Highest Distinction in the Accounting Honors Program. He earned his MBA in Finance and Taxation and his Ph.D. in Accounting and Taxation with a minor in Law from Indiana University. Dr. Beehler is a graduate of the Harvard Institutes of Higher Education Management Development Program and the American Academic Leadership Institute Executive Leadership Academy. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a qualified mediator. As a Professor of Accounting, he published widely in academic and professional journals and has received various teaching awards over his academic career.

Dr. Beehler and his wife Dr. Pamela Beehler have been married for 46 years. They have one daughter who graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point who is married to another West Point graduate and has blessed us with a three-year-old grandson. Drs. Beehler enjoy sports (especially golf, tennis, running and cycling), music and the arts, traveling and reading.
