Nedra Van Natta Templar

Here it is - like y'all don't know this. LOL

My name is Nedra Templar. I am a faculty member at the University of Phoenix Online.

I was born in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, adopted at 8 months old, and baptized Nedra Van Natta. I graduated from high school with honors and many music awards. I participated in many Pennsylvania Music Educators Association choral festivals; Districts and Regionals. I was also a pageant participant taking my share of crowns.

I participated in a private girl’s camp - Camp Robin Hood - as a camper, counselor, and eventually Executive Director of Fine Arts and Swimming.

I am a graduate of Mansfield State College, Mansfield, PA, with a BS Ed. in Music - Vocal Concentration.

In 1989, I married. My first child, a son, was born in 1992 and my daughter was born in 1994. My son has graduated from high school just this past June and is the proud recipient of the PIAA District 4 Male Sportsmanship Award, and my daughter is a Junior and is well on her way to being a 4 year letter winner.

During my non-teaching time, I have worked as a police officer, factory worker, hospital technician, delivery person, radio station News Director and afternoon personality, waitress, DJ, manager of a restaurant, and owner/operator of my own professional cleaning service. I have just finished working for the 2010 Census

I have returned to teaching, and love it! I currently hold Master's Degrees in Organizational Management and in Education - Curriculum and Instruction; specializing in Computer Education, both from the University of Phoenix Online.

I am a past head coach for a Little League team, a Football (high school, college, and professional), Basketball (boys, girls, and professional), Baseball (boys, professional, and co-ed Teener League), Girls Volleyball, and Softball mom/fan, professional hockey fan, and an active member of my religious community.

I have an avid passion for learning about the ancient civilizations; particularly the Meso-American Natives, Greeks, Egyptian, and the Gaelic/Nordic tribes. I am researching the Templar Knights too. I have written, directed, and produced my own planetarium show, and I garden in my spare time. Did I mention the dog?
