Today's Featured Biography
Jay Sharbaugh
After high school I worked at two tree farms with Danny Kunkle. I then got a job at Lehighton Electronics working with Bob Kimmel, JoNean Walck’s husband. I then enlisted in the Air Force. After basic training and technical school I was assigned to the 410th Bombardment Wing at K.I. Sawyer AFB in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan from 1983 to 1985. After that tour I was assigned to the 36th Tactical Fighter Wing in Bitburg Germany. I finished out my enlistment in Bitburg as staff sergeant in 1988. I moved to North Carolina for a brief time and then moved back to PA. With my certification as an EMT and oral surgery technician in the Air Force, I was offered a position at Lehigh Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Allentown in 1988 where I was sent for additional training and certification to perform outpatient anesthesia. During my tenure with the oral surgeons I went to school at night for computer science. I left to go to school full time and in 1992 I started working at the Chubb Corporation in Warren, NJ where I am currently a technical analyst. I met my wife Cheryl a work and we got married in 1999. In 2001 we had twins Emily and John. Currently Emily is in gymnastics, John is playing football and baseball (where I’m a Pop Warner and Little League coach). Cheryl just finished her second year as a teacher’s assistant. I had rotator cuff surgery (damn you flag football) will be seeing more specialists as it appears not everything was attached. The results were a little disarming but I feel I should shoulder the responsibility - ha. We recently adopted a lovable (and goofy like the rest of the family) black lab. Overall my life has been interesting but nothing too crazy and God has definitely blessed me over the years.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
