Karen Waters

I'm a singer/songwriter, author, poetess, taking a break and being a social butterfly for the time being. I'm a Wiccan and a Methodist. I've studied all kinds of religions. And I'm still weird, nerdy, and Goth. I haven't changed one earthly bit. I did get married in 1997, but ended up divorced in 2000. I have multiple health problems which have caused me to go on disability and leave my job as a Certified Nurses Aide. I miss working dearly, but it had to go because I was missing so much work due to my kidneys. You can only do as much as your body can handle.

I love faeries, vampires, cemeteries (my best friend married Matt Franson and helps him take care of Hillcrest Cemetery. So I get to hang out in the cemetery a lot), I still love the paranormal and supernatural things in life and death, I'm currently taking a break from writing my very first vampire novel. And some of my poetry has been published. I wrote and produced an album from home on my computer back in 2001. It's called, "Little Pieces of Joy" and I recorded a few tracks for my second album, "Mirrors Windows and Doors". I'm given to understand that they are in the midst of upgrading their players, so I hope to add more music to my player.

I love indie music and indie movies. I, of course love Harry Potter and Twilight. I'm a serious obsessive person and reread both series of books. Right now, I'm big time obsessed with the Twilight Saga. I can't wait to see the movie in November.

My favorite musicians are Emilie Autumn, Tori Amos, The Birthday Massacre, Rasputina, The Dresden Dolls and Nine Inch Nails that's only a taste of what I listen to.

I love cats and I own eight. Spooky, who will be five this October, is my baby boy. I love him so much. When I've been really down and depressed, he's kept me alive and I'm so grateful to have him in my life.

I'd like to publish my short stories that were inspired by Tori Amos' characters on her covers album, "StrangeLittleGirls" and of course, I'd like to publish my novel and more poetry. Hopefully the writer's block will go away soon.

I'm pretty messed up in the head thanks to those of you who picked on me (you know who you are) and my mother abusing me as a child and teen. But I think I'm on the right meds now, so that's a start. I'm Bi-Polar, I have Borderline Personality Disorder (if you remember I cut my wrists up a few times in high school) and a few other mental disorders. I've never tried to commit suicide, but took the pain out on myself. How Goth of me. I AM NOT EMO! Never have and never will be. Just so we're clear on that subject.

In my spare time, I like to read about Queen Elizabeth I, Anne Boleyn, Marie Antoinette and the psychiatry breakthrough during the Victorian Era.

Well, I've written, yet another novel for a profile. If you read the whole thing, great! If not, so sad, too bad. I just want those who used to make my life a living hell in school to know that picking and hurting me was real lame.
