Today's Featured Biography
Susan Reinhart Frey
After graduating high school I had a summmer job doing a plant survey on the desert in southwest Utah. When I returned home I began taking classes at Penn State, first at Berks Campus, Reading, and then University Park in State College. I transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches Texas where I earned a BA with a double major in History and English, along with a Texas teaching certificate.
I returned to Pennsylvania and worked for a few years at Sharpoint Inc., a company that made surgical equipment. While at Sharpoint I took a couple of classes at Albright College to qualify for a PA teaching certificate.
In June of 1988 my husband and I were married. That September I started working as a substitute teacher. First I worked for Berks County schools - Tulpehocken, Reading, Conrad Weiser, and Wyomissing. Then I moved to Lebanon County schools - ELCO, Norlebco, and Cedar Crest, and in Lancaster County - Warwick.
The last 20 years working as a long term and daily substitute have been interesting, but I am now looking for a change in employment.
In 1992 our son David was born. He attends school at ELCO and is currently in the tenth grade. David has traveled with People to People Student Ambassadors as an ambassador to China in 2007, Australia this past summer, and hopes to travel with them to England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales next summer. He plays trumpet in the school band and is also on the tennis team.
My husband has recently taken an early retirement from his job with the state. We are planning to retire south after our son is finished with school. We will most likely end up in Florida, or possibly south Texas.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
