Diane Larson
Hello: I have spent most of my career in high tech, first with Tektronix (23 years)leaving as a Product Line Marketing Manager; National Technical Sytems, as the Director of Business Development - Commercial Division; Major Accounts/Branch Manger (Tektronix) with Kelly Services; Most recently (past 5 years)as a college professor at The Art Institute of Portland & Mt. Hood Community College, teaching business administration topics. I own & operate DB Larson Associates, Inc., a strategic management consulting firm (since 1992). I also have an antique & collectible concern with two locations in Oregon and one in Washington. Who would have thunk that I would end up being a junk dealer on the beach?I hold BBA & MBA degrees from The University of Portland.
I am single, never married (that means "spinster" - no husband, no kids, no dogs) and have an only cat named Spook. He's a Russian Blue whose formal name is Spooknevska Nureyev Barishnikov. And so, Spook suits him fine ... and is much more appropriate .... he comes in like the fog on little cat's feet .... like a spook, can't hear him, but you know he's there. He's the perfect cat: self sufficient, only wants to be held on his own terms, is playful, and is the leader of the local neighborhood cat gang. He has his own personal, large patch of catnip. So my cat is a cat-dope dealer! What can you do?
I am in touch with quite a few of our class mates ... even though I have I've lived & worked all over the world. I keep coming back to "Beavergulch" - my home town. I'm in the book under DB Larson. Last stop before here was Boston ... great town. I still visit frequently.
My hobbies are: SCUBA diving, golf, horseback riding, gardening, antiques, music/theater/dance, good wine & chasing men. I do not smoke .... causes wrinkles & bad breath, you know. However, I do like the smell of a good cigar that somebody else is smoking. Looking foward to hearing from you all. Later on, DB
