Today's Featured Biography
Monica Mullins
Monica Mullins has been on the administrative team at Oklahoma Baptist University since 1990 when she came on as an admissions counselor. In 1993, she began to serve as the director of residential life and student activities. In 1998 she became the assistant dean of students. During the spring of 2008, she was named assistant dean of enrollment management and director of student success. Monica officially moved to the position on August 1, 2008, directing the University's Student Success Center, retention efforts, and First Year Experience.
Monica earned her bachelor of arts degree in English from OBU. She also earned her master of education degree in college student affairs from Azusa Pacific University. In addition, she has completed course work towards her master of divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
In addition to her staff positions, Mullins has served as an instructor of language and literature since 2003 and also teaches Becoming a Master Student and Success 101. She is currently a member of the Centennial Committee, the Student Development Committee, and the Enrollment Management Committee at OBU. She is involved in the Association of Christians in Student Development as a Member and Conference Presenter, is an ordained deacon at University Baptist Church in Shawnee, is on an advisory committee to the Shawnee City Commission on issues of sustainability, and is a member of the Pottawatomie County Pedalers and Rosie Riding Club.
