Karen Judkins Hanisch
Aloha '79 Rangers!
I haven't been to a reunion since 1989 - didn't receive any info until way too late or afterwards. I was living in Keystone, Colorado in '89, moved to Carbondale, CO (downvalley from Aspen) in 1993, where both of my boys were born.
In 2003, we moved to Maui and can't imagine ever moving again! We live "upcountry", which means we're on the slopes of Haleakala at about 1500'. No need for A/C or heat here. High temps range from about 78-82 year-round! The beach is about 40 minutes away. Maui is an incredible place to raise our sons! They are both Eagle Scouts, which Bill and I are very proud of.
I helped my husband with his consulting business until he retired three years ago, but I've been blessed to mainly be a mom. I have volunteered in the Boy Scouts of America for 13 years, which has been very rewarding.
In July 2014 my older son, Coleby, and I took an amazing trip. We shipped one of our cars from Maui to San Diego for him to have. Coleby and I met there, picked up the car and drove 2500 miles to Des Moines, IA where he is in college. Along the way we visited the Grand Canyon, stayed with friends in Moab, UT and hiked in Arches National Park, visited friends in western Colorado and in Denver, and also drove up to Minnesota to see my husband's mom, who just turned 100. An awesome trip anytime, but to do that with just your 20-year-old son is amazing! Lots of time to "talk story".
We come back twice a year for several weeks to visit family. Maybe one of these times I'll make another reunion.Email me early!! I don't do Facebook...
May you all be blessed with health and happiness!
A hui ho!!
Karen

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
