Today's Featured Biography
Raymond Woods
I never really thought about having a biography. I discovered this site while doing a Google search about Midwest City in general and was pleased that I was able to look around without any hassle. Another site that I can think of required me to create an account and after I did, it was like discovering that I had just climbed out of a clown car into the middle of a three ring circus.
I don’t have a spouse. When the announcement was made to get in line to be zapped with the imperative to find a mate, I must have been off dreaming about lunch. It’s a weird deal, but I quit wondering what was up with that a long time ago. As a natural consequence, I also don’t have a gaggle of children (or grand children – shudder) to list.
I am thankful that, so far, my adult life has been remarkably free of turmoil, tragedy or scandal, at least that I am aware of. One of the thought provoking things about browsing this site was the list of those who have passed. It was quite sobering to look through each entry.
Although I embrace new technology and don’t know how people managed before the proliferation of the personal computer, I don’t have a web page to list. On the other hand, if someone in 1978 had told me that I would, one day, be carrying the key to the Universe in my pocket in the form of an iPhone, I’d have told them that they were absolutely nuts.
I go to work each day so that I can enjoy the hobbies of model railroading and railfanning, radio communications monitoring, and photography.
