Today's Featured Biography
Charles Schmelzle
After an interesting and entertaining (but somewhat lackadaisical) college career I moved to Naples, Florida and began an insurance agency with my family (father, mother and brother George). Sue Niknejad, whom I had met at Vanderbilt University, followed me to Florida and obtained her Masters at the University of Florida while the Schmelzles got the business started. After years of hard work and modest success, the business gradually became a success. In 1995 Sue and I were married, and later that year we purchased our first home in Fort Myers, FL. Our first son Tommy was born in 1998, and another boy named Ryan came along in 2001. In 2005 we were blessed with a beautiful girl named Carly, and the family is now complete. The kids are smart, sassy and lots of fun, and the business has grown to the point that I can spend a lot of time with the family. I still work with brother George, and see my mom and dad often (when they aren't touring the country in their motor home). Recently we completed a renovation of our home, and now we are eagerly awaiting visitors to come to Florida and see us.
