I know I didn't technically graduate with you but Batavia is still what I consider my hometown. I was excited to be included in the 20 year reunion and I hope I see everybody there. (I see and talk to Sherry and Stephanie weekly)
My last 20 years (like everybody else) has had ups and downs. The last decade has been pretty good. (Decade, how did we get so old we measure time in decades now??)
I graduated from Thomas More College with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology (surprise, surprise to those of you who knew me well). I worked for years with abused/delinquent teenagers, then I decided to take a break. Boy are they exhausting. I started doing medical transcription work at home and still do it part-time (great pay, good benefits, and get to work in my pj's with my coffee, tea, and TV). I did this to be home more with my son (who just turned 15 - oh my Lord!!) Although once the house situation has settled down (see below) I am thinking of going back to work in social work or doing some major volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity.
My husband's name is Brian and he has a degree in Information Systems. He worked for years managing software development teams between here and Europe (Belgium specifically), and got tired of all the travel, so he startd doing transcription too.
Last year we found a place in the mountains (and I mean in the mountains) that we loved and moved there permanently. Our little moutain town is so small we have no stoplights, 1 gas station, and 2 little country stores. My entire extended family lives within walking distance and are hunters/fishers, etc. With both Brian and I working from home we can take our computers and work anywhere, by the beach, in the mountains, etc. (We are not too far from major cities, Washington D.C. is less than 2 hours, New York 2.5 hours, Pittsburgh is 1 hour, etc). Our move would feel much more permanent if we could sell the house we still have in Edgewood, Kentucky. We just got a new realtor so hopefully soon (fingers crossed) I can stop ripping my hair out about selling the house and worrying about going back down there to check on it every couple of weeks.
I love reading all of your bios and seeing what everybody is doing now. I truly hope to see you all at the reunion.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
