I left Wayland in my senior year to live with my aunt in Bradenton FL. Graduated May 1980 -Sarasota FL. Entered the Marine Corps June of 1980 at age 17. Served in the Marine Corps 1980-1984. Obtained the rank of E5 (Sgt) by age 19 after a meritorious promotion while serving in South Korea. Attended 1 yr USMC Communications-Electronics and Telephone Switchboard Repair School 1980-1981. Korean Defense Service Medal, Overseas Deployment Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Marine Corps Rifle Expert Badge (1st and 2nd award), Meritorious Mast, Meritorious Promotion to Corporal (Cpl).
Education: AAS Electronics, BS Telecommunications Eng and Applied Computing (Rochester Institute of Technology), MS Engineering Management (California State Univ Northridge). Entering Phd Operations Research program in 2011. Lecturer Cal State Northridge.
I have had a blessed, successful career in telecommunications. Current position: Three years as Director of Operations, AireSpring, Inc -a medium size telecommunications company.

My daughter Connie is 26 years of age. She has a BA Public Relations from Cal State Univ Northridge (2006). Bus Admin diploma UCLA (2009). She is a fulltime Program Manager for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
My son Aaron is 24. He completed his BS Cal State Univ Northridge in 2008 and currently attends Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena CA -Master of Divinity (MDiv) program with an additional 1 year cross-cultural concentration. He is in a Naval Chaplain Candidacy Program and anticipates serving as a Marine Corps Chaplain to fullfil a three year field 'experience' requirement for a Doctorate of Ministry (DMin) program. His undergrad was Aerospace Engineering -he works part time as a math tutor for SAT/ACT prep -Sylvan Learning Center.
I am a member of the American Legionnaires, Veterans of Foriegn Wars. Also, New England Historic Genealogical Society, Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War (NY 137th). IEEE member.
Swim US Masters 5 days a week as my exercise routine. Perform drums with local college Big Band - Studio Jazz Bands. SCUBA and Golf also. Hobby - Gemology and collector of rare Burma rubies and Columbian emeralds 10 ct to 475 ct cut (museum type)
I have lived in CA since 1983 - Valencia CA for abt 20 years. My home is 3200 sq ft on a 14 acre lake where I have also served on the community Board of Directors.
I was married for 26 years. I visit Wayland now and then...
To avoid confusion: Jenks surname is my paternal grandfather lineage surname...it was added later as Kenneth Smith Jenks
