Long time, almost everyone. Congrats, Steve, for setting up this site.
After graduation, I traded idyllic Central New York for urban bliss in, um, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Several wearying years later, I quit my job and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area -- unfortunately with no job-in-waiting, no savings and all my worldly possessions in, or being towed behind, a U-haul truck.
I wouldn’t recommend it, or do it, again, but everything turned out great; after eight years in Northern California, I can’t imagine moving anywhere else. I live a few miles north of Berkeley with Alison, my ever-cheerful wife of 12 years, two cats and two dogs. No kids, which clearly puts me in the minority here.
Professionally, I’m an automotive journalist, specializing in sports cars, and the editor of a Ferrari magazine called Forza. The next time you’re in Barnes & Noble, please pick up a copy and do your part to boost my profit-sharing bonuses. Ferraris don’t come cheap.
Like Robert, I too have changed since high school. For example, I’m like totally not sarcastic any more. Honest.
