Mark Lacy

Howdy Y'all,

I have fond memories of growing up in South Glens Falls.
Well to keep it short, here is the Readers Digest condensed version.

My dad was in the Air Force for 30 years, So we moved around a bit.
In 1971 We left New York and moved to Converse, Texas (Randolph AFB) Mom taught Kindergarten an Judson ISD.
I attended Judson ISD from 71-77 In 1977 We moved to Lackland AFB (On the West Side of San Antiono) And graduated there in 78.
After I graduated from HS I went into the USAF and after 4 years I moved to Watkins Glen, NY I then attended Corning Communiuty College in Corning NY and graduated in 84 (AAS Electrical Technology - Electronics).
In 1984 I went to work for Greater Rochester Cable for a year and I was offered a job with Motorola. (This was my dream job) I started out as a mobile communications systems technician, I then went into system design and engineering of public safety & 911 systems. Doing projects was my love of Motorola!
I worked for Motorola for 20 years and moved all over. I ended up back in Texas again.
To keep from moving around and so my wife could attend college. I went to work for the Texas Department of Criminal justice for a few years. I retired after being injured while in the line of duty.
In 1997 re-enlisted in the service (The Texas Army National Guard) as a 31L/31U/95B I had 3 MOSQ I did electronic communications.- 8 years (I was deployed for Space Shuttle Recovery, Hurricane Katrina and Rita and came very close to going to Iraq. When my 8 year enlistment expired I Enlisted in the Air National Guard for 2 Years and deployed to the Mexican border! ETS in 2008 as a TSgt. I didn't re-enlist again. ¡Demasiado México!

My community activities:
Asst. Scoutmaster Troop 136 (former) and 169.
I have been a volunteer firefighter since 1972. In '72 (at the age of 12) I joined as a a junior fireman and was the first 12 year old to be certified-Advanced First Aid in the State of Texas and I have loved firefighting ever since. That is my way of giving to my Texas community. Many, many years later I attended "THE" Texas A&M University Fire Academy. I am now a proud Aggie! I was also a volunteer Paramedic for 9 years.
In 1997 I became a certified Fire instructor for the State of Texas.

My hobbys are electronics (building stuff),amateur (ham) radio (W5TXR), Hunting,Fishing large mouth bass, Guns,collecting handguns, camping and travel.
I love spending time with my lovely wife Nancy and our kiddos!

My wife, the lovely and gracious Nancy is from Jasper, Texas. She is an RN and a lieutenant in the USAF and we have relocated to the San Antonio area. (Lackland AFB)

Nancy and I are very ultra-conservative republicans! Sorry, I'm probably not of the same political agenda as most of y'all..But thats okay.

My parents are very happily retired and live on Seneca Lake just North of Watkins Glen (The Finger Lakes Region)

My Brother Ron lives in Italy, My sisters, Joni lives in Clay, NY, Janet lives in Nashville, Tennessee and Julie lives in the Rochester area.
