Today's Featured Biography
Mike Murray
I read another of our classmate's bio and she indicated that life has its peaks and valleys. It would be safe to say that I have had my share of unbelievable, incredible peaks and some deep, dark valleys. From here on out I will settle for "normal", yet relatively interesting.
I just came out of semi-retirement and I love being self employed with my 267 "bosses" and I am extremely busy from the middle of January to April 15th. (I'll let you guess what I do for a living.) I am an avid cyclist (the "Cannondale" or "Specialized" kind, not the Harley type) and I get highly agitated if I am unable to log in 125 to 150 miles of riding in any week.
As a matter of fact when I was "retired" I volunteered for one mental health agency, and two educational-environmental agencies and I commuted 25 miles, one-way, most of the days that I volunteered. (Yes, I do own a decent car, I just prefer to cycle.)
I was married for seven years, but I have been divorced for some time now and I have been in some wonderful relationships since then. But for now I am single and I love it!
I travel extensively as I have been to all 50 states (OK, so I am counting that hour and half refueling in Juneau, Alaska while on my way to China to make it 50) and I have made it to every continent except for the "English-speaking" island, down under. I plan to make it there next year.
I am considered "bi-coastal" since I make it to my house in Eagle Mills, NY about four times a year, but I spend most of my time living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I would like to thank Donna (Derway) McCane for getting in touch with me to notify me of this web-site and the other class activities. I would like to further thank Andy Doetsch and anyone else who is active in this endeavor. I was unaware of the reunion (or that 30 years had passed for that matter - that was a reality check), so maybe I will make the next one.
