After graduating from OLM in 1974, I graduated from Bryant & Stratton College with a Degree in Business Administration and Secretarial Science.
My first job was in the Engineering Dept. of Neisner Bros. Main Office in downtown Rochester.
I married Chuck Zeiner in May of 1978. We bought a house in Rochester. Neisner Bros. closed down just in time for me to become a stay-at-home mother to our daughter Jessica and, later, our son Geoffrey.
During those years, I volunteered a lot, mostly at their schools and at the Family Resource Center on Webster Avenue.
Heading back into the workforce, I became the Office Manager of MetLife Auto & Home for six years followed by 22 years as a Human Resources Specialist for Catholic Charities.
During those years, my daughter Jessica became a Pediatric Speech Pathologist, moved to Colorado, married Tim Gates, and had my three grandsons: Carter, Hudson and Beckett. She owns Dragonfly Pediatric Speech Therapy.
My son Geoffrey, became an Artist and Writer, stayed in Rochester, married Tracy Pakusch and had my only granddaughter Samara and another grandson Mason.
I also acquired two Honorary Grandsons: Jerome and Garrett who live in New York City.
I retired in December 2021, four years after my husband retired. We've spent the time since traveling and, as always, fixing up the 1920 house we moved into back when we got married.
