What a life!! It's been a tough year. My son,Air Force Major David Goodale, retired Combat Rescue Officer, became part of the PTSD statistics on August 7, 2019. He had retired 3 years prior to this, and could never reconcile the two. He is greatly missed by all. His dedication and strength of spirit will never be forgotten. Please all, remember there IS such a thing as post traumatic stress syndrome, and there are 20 military deaths a day directly related to it.
I have slowed down a lot this past year. Physical issues, let alone David's death, have taken their toll. In addition, Rhonda and I made the decision that it was time for us to live apart as well, so I moved the day after Christmas back into Valdosta. I totally love living in the south, but every winter I look at the beautiful snow pictures Jean Bidwell posts, and wish I were back in Rochester - for about 2 minutes:)
Music is still playing a big role in my daily life. I sing in my church choir and have taken up playing the ukulele:) So much fun and what enjoyment. Some day I plan on hooking up with the ukulele group out of Valdosta that plays for fun and brings strumming music to all.
So much for recent goings on. Am looking forward to our next reunion and hope to see you all there.
