Today's Featured Biography
Joyce Cornelius Herbert
Married to Glenn Herbert, we are about to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We lived in Greece for 35 years, then built a timberframe home on Keuka Lake in 2000, doing more painting, staining and bur barrel duty than I ever want to do again. Our summers are busy with visiting family and friends. After selling real estate in the 70's, then 28 years working in non-profit fundraising, I retired from Keuka College in 2006. Our daughter and son live in the Rochester area with their families, including children ages 22, 19, 9, 8 & 3. I play at golf, but not very well. I enjoy designing and making a variety of jewelry, volunteering and exhibiting my work at the Arts Center of Yates County. We spend the winter months in Naples, Florida, but always look forward to coming back home to our rural community in the 315 area code, where our newest vehicle is a red pickup truck.

At least we know we have lots of company celebrating 70thh birthday this year. I don't do zumba anymore! Our kids are 51 and 47, good grief.5 grandkids range from ages 6 to 24. Glen serves on local zoning board and works at a local golf course. I am active in Arts Center of Yates County as board secretary and makes jewelry. Still live on Keuka Lake and escape to Florida in the winter. Looking forward to catching up with school friends at reunion!!

Still spending 8 months at home on Keuka Lake and 4 months wintering in Naples, FL. Grandkids living nearby so we get to see them often. Seems strange to hear them using the term retirement, but not happening for awhile!! Grandkids range in age from 8 to 27
