After graduation I went to work at Aeolian American in East Rochester. Most people would likely know it as "The Piano Works". While working there I met my husband Gary and we were married in October 1980. After leaving The Piano Works I was a stay at home mom for several years. When my daughters were in middle school I went back to work doing accounting.
We have two daughters, Christy born in 1983 and Lindsay born in 1986.
When my oldest (Christy) and Kathy Granger Reifsnyder's middle daughter (Lindsay) ended up in the same kindergarten class, we reconnected and our families enjoyed spending time together. We have continued to stay connected even after they moved back to Fairport.
After my husband retired in 2013, we moved to North Carolina where both of our daughters lived with their families. Christy, a children's librarian manager, and her wife Kathleen have 2 daughters, Adele (2011) and Piper (2013). Our youngest daughter Lindsay, a 6th grade teacher, and her husband David, have 2 daughters, Riley (2014) and Lily (2016).
Gary and I enjoy traveling and spending time with our children and grandchildren which is, of course, why we moved south.
After spending our entire lives in the Rochester area we are enjoying new scenery and experiences...and the weather is pretty good too!
No one really knows exactly what their lives will be after they graduate from high school, but I have say that I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and family. Life is Good!
