Claire Blake Clark

Site Administrator and CLASSIX70 Chair for classes of 1968, 1969 and 1970

Unlike many of my classmates, I have stayed in the area my entire life living in Galloway for 22 yrs. I married in 1972 to Rick Clark and had two children, Michele and Rick and have three grandchildren, Gailyn, Colby and Vienna. I divorced in 1983 and never remarried. Altho not a boring life, I owned and operated an Entertainment Company for 8 years and traveled the East Coast with my entertainers - it was a interesting and fun business and it gave me the opportunity to involve my children in my job. In 1995 I moved to Absecon purchased, co-owned and operated the historical Dr. Jonathan Pitney House in Absecon for 10 yrs. I took it from a building that was a breath away from demolition to a "gem of Absecon" during the time I ran it. With an angst for history I became involved in the Absecon Historical Society where I was President for several years and was instrumental in establishing and renovating the now existing Hall. I have since retired from that association. I sold the B&B to my partner and renovated a 100 yr old Sears Home also in Absecon. I love old buildings and hate to see their demise.

I have worked in the casino industry for 36 years, starting at the Golden Nugget and at 27 years with the Trump Organization (17 of which in the legal department and many years as a Claims Adjuster for Trump Taj Mahal until it closed its doors in 2016). I retired for a few years and then came out of retirement and now work for Resorts Hotel Casino.

I am single and decided to utilize my talents (thank you Mr. Aydelotte) and started my own business in 2014. I teach art classes in local high end restaurants and privately. Check out my facebook page: Brush Classes and Painting Parties.

My Children: Michele has two children, Gailyn and Colby and runs her own vegan food business. She lives in Northfield, NJ. Rick is the Sales Director and grant writer for an The School of Rock in Philadelphia. Rick is a prior entertainer that did some theater, TV and movies, he had a bit part in Jersey Girl. Rick also rock climbs in the USA and internationally and did run a rock climbing gym. Rick is divorced and has one child.

While involved in bed and breakfast which I ran for 10 years in Absecon, I became involved in community services and still hold some offices:

I am a local classical realism artist utilizing acrylics on canvas as my main medium originally starting out in Oils. I own and operate Brush Classes and Painting Parties locally and in the Eastern Seaboard. I create and sell (on occasion) personally designed holiday wreaths, garlands and Santa Claus' for family and friends. One of my favorite hobbies is decorating for the holidays with my collection of antiques and displaying them at Halloween and Christmas.

Well that's it folks, other than spearheading our Reunion Committee "Classix70" for the PHS classes of 1968, 1969, 1970, I am open for any other adventure that awaits me.

I look forward to our next reunion and encourage any of you to reach out to me if you would like to be involved. Hopefully after this Covid 19 situation passes we can get on with the 50th for the class of 1970.... I welcome any and all suggestions and help.
thank you to all that attended our big "50" last September. It was a tremendous success and was because all of you took the time to "step back in time" with your old PHS pals.
