Ben Auletta is a self-employed Public Accountant and Financial Planner with offices at 44 West Union Avenue in Bound Brook. He has secured licenses in Public Accounting, Securities, Life and Health Insurance, Real Estate Sales, and Mortgage Brokerage and earned the professional designation of Certified Financial Planner.
He is a graduate of Rutgers University Graduate School of Business where he earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA). He also earned a B. S. in Industrial Engineering at
Newark College of Engineering, and attended Farleigh Dickinson University. Ben was a Cadet in the first class at The United States Air Force Academy and subsequently served in the US Air
Force.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Ben enjoyed 10 years in staff, managerial and supervisory positions with the largest corporations in America- Standard Oil, Mobil Oil, and Inter-Chemical Co., He has conducted a successful independent professional practice for the past 32 years. He has several years’ experience as a college Instructor, and has written newspaper columns covering business and the theater.
Ben was a member of the executive board of the NJ Association of Public Accountants and served the association as State Secretary and Trustee. He served as President and Treasurer of the Central Jersey Chapter of the association. Ben was also a member of the National Association of Public Accountants and a delegate to their national convention.
Ben was a founding member of the Bound Brook High School Booster Club and served as its initial Treasurer. He has extensive service in youth programs serving as Cub master in the Cub
Scout Program; manager, coach and league officer in the Bound Brook Little League and Pop
Warner Football programs; and worked in the YMCA Indian Guide program.
Ben served on the Bound Brook Board of Education where he was Chairman of the Policy
Committee and served on several other committees. He has also served as a member of the Board’s Labor Negotiations Team. He was the Board’s delegate to the “Association of Boards of
Education of Somerset County” and has served as delegate to the NJ School Boards Association
Delegate Assembly. He was a member of the NJ School Boards Association Legislative Committee and the Resolutions Subcommittee.
He has served on the Bound Brook Borough Council and on several borough boards and committees including the Bound Brook Planning Board. He was selected to participate in the inaugural session of Somerset County’s exclusive Leadership 2000 yearlong community leadership training program that seeks to provide understanding and access to centers of influence and power. He currently is the Chairman of the Bound Brook Democratic Municipal Committee, a Somerset County Committeeman and has been a candidate for the NJ Assembly.
Ben and his wife Carole are 42-year residents of Bound Brook. Carole was the Director and owner of Little Learners Child Care Center in Somerset NJ for 12 years. Carole worked extensively in the Bound Brook school district before starting her own school. After accepting an attractive offer to sell her school she became responsible for the childcare center at Raritan Valley Community College, and subsequently accepted a Directorship of Harmony Schools in Piscataway. They have three sons that progressed through the Bound Brook schools from Kindergarten through High School, and have all enjoyed success as business entrepreneurs. His son Donald, and Don’s wife Tiffany, are partners with Ben in his financial services practice.
